Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Groups
We all experience stressful situations, feelings, and thoughts now and then. However, stress can spiral out of control, and some find themselves suffering with chronic anxiety or depression symptoms. Our own mind can become a very unpleasant place: dishing up distressing thoughts, conjuring unpleasant emotions, and triggering unhelpful responses to our stressors.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to target brain habits that contribute to anxiety or depression symptoms. Many research studies demonstrate the effectiveness of MBCT in teaching participants skills to prevent downward mood spirals. MBCT is taught and practiced in a supportive group format with assigned home-study between sessions, to reinforce skills.
Groups meet for 8 sessions, in-person, for 2 hours per session, facilitated by Deborah Vail, MA, LPC, NCC. Deborah has received hundreds of hours of training in MBCT, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and she is a certified meditation instructor. Groups cost $300 per participant (workbook included).

Boundaries and Healing: Empowering Skills for Painful Relationships

This support and skills group is for people with a desire to learn tools for dealing with painful relationships, past and present. Together we explore how toxic, harmful, or abusive relationships can form and what makes them tick. We grieve the losses of the relationships we wished for, and we work to ensure we don't repeat painful patterns in the future. We learn how to encourage healthy boundaries and relating within all our relationships.
Join Deborah Vail, MA, LPC, NCC in-person at her O'Fallon, MO office, for this 7-week, 1.5 hour per session therapeutic group. Groups cost $250 per participant (workbook included).
